A project from the Media Track in MEME vol 2 in Hvanneyri, Iceland in august 2019. MEME stands for Music Empowerment Mobility Exchange and is a European collaboration between 12 European Girls, trans and non binary Rock camps within the Girls Rock Camps Alliance, supported by Erasmus+.

100 people came together for a week, 40 leaders and 60 campers on 3 tracks : music track, media track and organizing track.

MEME in one word was a project that the Media track campers got and in one day they managed to film and audio record one word from 80 people in camp about what this experience was like, summed up for them.

Music is from MEME vol 1 campers in Berlin 2018!

The campers had most no prior experience in camera operation and sound recording and did a fantastic job pulling off this wast project – a true “thrown in the deep part of the pool” project.

Afterwards they were introduced to the syncing process of film an audio and basics in editing.

The editing was finished by the film coach Anna Ólafsdóttir as the campers proceeded with their work and did a live recording at the final concert of the Music track.

The campers on the Media Track also got introduced to live audio recording by track coordinator Maebh Murphy, photography by coach Marzena Kocuerk and social media by coach Anka Górska.
