Mission of the HACP
Placed under the super
vision of the Presidency of the Re public, The High Authority for the Consolidation of Peace (HACP) has this mission:
Cultivate a spirit of peace and permanent
dialogue between the different communities of the Niger.
Maintain mutual trust, tolerance and respect in the common desire to
live tog ether as one nation.
ontribute to the pr evention of c rises and con flicts, with all the actors and all the structures concerned participating in the solutions.
Identify and propose solutions to the socioeconomic
factors that help cause instab ility, bandi try and rebellion.
Develop, execute and monitor re
covery programs for communities affected by insecurity follo wing armed conflicts.
Lead the debate on new forms of security threats (terrorism, trafficking of all kinds), and their impact on sensitive areas.
Identify actions to be t
aken to correct inequality, disparity, and exclusion.
romote actions aimed at strengthening social peace, cohesion and national unity.
Propose solutions to new forms of destabilizing insecurity linked to terrorism and all kinds of trafficking, and assess the impact on communities in the areas concerned.
Contribute to the negotiated settle
