O’Carolan’s March sounds great on the guitar because of the ringing resonances that are produced. It is in 6/8 and uses a very repetitive rhythm. Aim to keep the march nice and steady and see if you can come up with some creative variations with the repeated material.

The march offers a great workout for the thumb, as it needs to jump across the bass strings throughout the entire piece. Make sure you use the thumb for all of the bass notes.

We see the Da Capo al Fine marking again, but this time it is using the shorthand version D.C. al Fine. It means the same thing.
